I've used a pet sitter situation in the past, why should I use a kennel this time?

You do not really want to leave your pets alone for all that time.  Pet Sitting and home care are a great thing, but most people do not do this type of kenneling for obvious reasons.  You are at the mercy of someone to let your pet out 3 or 4 times per day, the only human contact they will have while you are away.  No one's home is set up for kenneling  considering the bacteria on the sofas and carpets that cannot be cleaned from the many dogs going through, like they can in a commercial establishment.  You also have no way to moniter this because you must make an appointment to visit, you cannot just drop in.  How are the dogs monitered at night?  Can they escape their enclosure and potentially put other dogs in harms way.  Most of these business are backyard operations with no liability insurance.  Most don't charge sales tax, this is a red flag.  But mostly, if they have small children or even the adults themselves, if they should be bitten by your dog, you are entirely liable, they can come back and sue you.  If you should opt to use a home care place or a pet sitting sevice, make sure they are  insured.  Also check their credentials, many times their song and dance is just untrue to get your business.  We have heard many unhappy stories.   With us you can be assured that your best friend will have someone scratch their ears and tell them how cute they really are and help them count the days down until you pick them up,
