Frequently Asked Questions

My dog really does not like to go to the bathroom on concrete, how do you handle this?

All our guests go outside into a fenced in exercise yard(one of ten yards) 4 times per day or more if your dog should need it.  A dog can easily wind up with constipation or a urinary tract infection if they are uncomfortable in the environment that they must go to the bathroom in.  They are very much creatures of habit.

My dog is not friendly with other dogs, how do you handle that?

If, and I mean if your dog truly does not like other dogs, he or she will get one of our ten yards to itself.  Some people think that their dogs don't like other dogs and we find that not to be the case, because of bad habits or fears or a host of other things.  We leave it up to the trainers on staff to do the evaluation of such dogs.

I took my dog to a place for day care and the staff sprayed her in the face with a water bottle when she growled at a dog that came up to her on her first day.   I know that she is fine with other dogs.  How come this happened?

The scenario tells us that the staff, where you went is inexperienced with dog behavior.  The most likely culprit of your dogs' behavior is fear of their surroundings.    I assure you that no one at dog holiday walks around with a spray bottle, we get to the root of the problem.  Some dogs  just need to acclimate.

My dog is a maniac with other dogs.  She has alot of energy and I'm afraid she will be too much for the other dogs.  Will she still get to play?

Absolutely, she just needs to get into a group that likes to play as hard as she does.  The dogs are put into groups with regard to their personalities and energy levels.
